Yep! Raynell basically gave up. Three eight counts. Something has to really be going on personally with Ray. Not himself at all!!!

that dont shock me, i've seen him give up before in Agusta GA a few years back, what really shocked me was that he made the 08 team

Well it shocks me! Raynell was not mentally in the fight from the start. You are shocked that he made the team? WHY? He fought and qualified like everyone else. The difference between Ernie and Raynell is that Raynell is an Olympian. Everyone has an off day were things just don't go right. Raynell is no less of a boxer because of one fight.

Ray was just not in shape, simple. If ray was in shape it would have been a easy fight. But he was not in shape, and pretty much gave up cause he was not in shape, and he knew he would not beat ernie not being in shape.

Not beign in shape is an excuse especially beign an olympian he should know better you have to respect the sport if you show up not in shape to a tournament of this caliber than you deserve to lose its bad enough that he has a target on his back because he is an olympian every wants to defeat him he is the guy to beat because of the olympics so congrats to Erni Garza he did his job

This is too funny!! I would like to know who talked to Raynell before the fight? People are posting comments on the post when they dont have a clue. Raynell has a lot of weight on him at home personally. Yes, being in shape has a lot to do with it, but it was not the only factor. At least if you want to make a comment, state that it is in YOUR OPINION. And no, it's not that simple. Yes. congrats to Ernie!!!

Well basically everyone has problems maybe Ernie did to who knows the fact of the matter is everyone is so shocked that Ernie beat him but you have to look at this way Ernie Garza is Ranked in the top 5 in his weight class and thats no esay task i was at the fights and Ernie just wanted it more so being out of shape and haveing problems out the ring is just a copout Ernie's good and he just wanted it more on that day and if the problems out of the ring are so bad than just dont compete in that paticular fight thats what separates boxing from any other sport you cant come in half assed its dangerous

Like I said, You should state that this is just YOUR OPINION! YOU dont know why Raynell fought like he did. And yes, Everyone is shocked that Ernie won. IMO, Ernie basically got a walkover. Raynell never really was even in the fight and it was not because Ernie was beating him. Congrats to Ernie being in the top 5, but Raynell is our Olympian. COPOUT, whatever. Not competing? Are you serious. This is pointless, you have your opinion, I have mine. I'm going to leave it at that. Tell Ernie congrats at Nationals. This was never a dig at Ernie's desire or abilities. I was just making a comment on Ray.

J'Leon did not enter the Michigan LBC tournament. It is purported that his amateur days are over and he will be turning pro soon.

Normally if you win the National PAL or National GG you get an automatic berth into the U.S. Championships.
