I think that this one would have been a WAR FROM START TO FINISH. I used to believe that JCC would have ko'd Pryor in his prime because Chavez was one of my all-time favorite boxers. But when I saw fights of this Crazy Fighting Machine of Pryor , I saw a guy that threw punches from all angles. Man, he never stopped punching!!!
Chavez was more calculative and more precise in his punches and had better poise and could block and skip a lot of punches. But he also could be outboxed, and Pryor had good boxing skills when he had to use them. It's just that we forget about his boxing skills because of his overwhelming agressiveness.
I think Pryor would have won by decision. I do not think that he would have KO Chavez. Chavez in his prime was very strong and could take a blow from a Barry Bonds' bat and still does not go down. But Pryor was faster and threw more punches, even though Chavez was like motor that came from low to high gear.
