Olympic Boxing - The Draw

Post by Boxingmad »

Does anyone know when the draws will be made for the boxing, in particular for who Amir Khan's got on Monday?

Ah Steve, thanks for the kind words

I think Jason Estrada has a decent chance of medaling (depends if he gets a good draw). Andre Ward will likely get a medal, too. Sadly, those are the only two fighters that come to mind. There might be one or two more Americans who sneak in and get a bronze, but that's about it. It's likely going to be another Olympics without an American gold medalist in boxing.

Nice link from Eric, that Emile guy seems pretty clued up...i see they are noe tipping Amir Khan for anything special in the 60 kg section. Oleg Saitov and Ruslan Khairov are an interesting pair at there weight, i agree they will probably make the final if they are drawn apart.

Sorry i got confused lol, by my own post, Saitov and Khairov are at 69kg. Kindelan is tipped for gold at 60kg by Emile.

Whoops, sorry about that, Mr. Freiheit - all you foreign-sounding-named editors just look alike to me. :D

Looks like Khan has got the local lad, does anyone know the exact time (our time) this will be on and what time? I presume it will be shown live (fingers crossed). With BBC "red button" and Eurosport i am hoping so anyway.
