Re: Michael Brodie
you're right about those who say "trust me". spot on
Re: Michael Brodie
Brodie pulle dout cos he didnt know enough about his opponent apparently, also rumours he refused a couple of opponents during the week coming up to the fight.
Re: Michael Brodie
Who was the opponent mate? Sad when a former world title challenger making a comeback wont fight whats put in front of him... although quite understand it if it was a decent opponent.
Re: Michael Brodie
Cheers, clearly an incomplete record on boxrec.

Re: Michael Brodie
Brodie could have had great fights with Larios and - yes - future star Israel Vazquez.
If Brodie had got the nod vs Jorrin for the WBC title, Larios, Vazquez would have been his top contenders.
Larios would go on to stop Jorrin, win wars with Vazquez and McCullough, before burning out and getting dropped, cut up and stopped by an improved Vazquez.
Vazquez - recently - would go on an awesome run, following the Larios stoppage
Manny Pac and Joan Guzman would have been too much for Brodie - they were title holders around Brodie's time as a world class super bantam. But he would have got stuck in with Larios and a still-learning Vazquez. Instead, he got robbed v Jorrin, and after the great draw with Chi, got stopped by bigger men Chi and Harrison, one-sided fashion.
An extar case of "what if", for nearly man Brodie.
