I remember the Russian Euro champ beat him pretty easily last time out. Lee didn't fight as well as he fought that Mexican though so maybe he's improved.
good performance by lee. i was quite impressed by his ability to jab whilst moving backwards. couple of careless moments when he let his concentration go but the irish guy done very well.
one thing puzzled me. i recall there used to be a rule where if one of the fighters was a certain amount of points ahead, i seem to think it was 15, then the fight was stopped on the 'outclassed' rule, has this been scrapped? lee was ahead by 15 points on a couple of occasions
and isnt it fantasitic to have jim mcneilly back? :(
I was impressed. He looked sharp, and slick enough to keep the mexican at bay for most of the fight. Bit worried that he dropped his hands and got a little careless several times, if the Russian is as good as his reputation suggests then that kind of concentration lapse will cost him. Looks like a decent little fighter though.
