Yep that's pretty much hit the nail on the head really. Most people on here seem to respect you Frank as a very decent british promoter. I would say that it is good that you come on here and fight your corner as it were, but then would you expect a big footie club to have their manager or playyers go on the club forum ranting at people for saying things against the club or individual players?BIGMARK wrote:most of us here dont have a problem with the fight or fighters and maybe your right it could be a mini classic. However the fact that the quality of FFN has dropped is what we have a problem with. I will be happy to watch this fight as i'm a fan of the sport at all levels but as someone who pays his sky money just for the boxing i'm not. Sky are helping support the sport at this level and i'm sure the money they pay for these shows allows the boxers to make a decent payday and more than they would for a show not being shown. But i think are main concern is that this seems to be the only level of live boxing sky give us fans on the sports channels with rest now used on PPV cards as your recent Sunderland card was. if Sky were picking up the card this weekend from the States or had shown the Froch fight i for one wouldnt be moaning but they are not and i'm sure as a boxing fan yourself Frank you must see this. So i will make the point again, most of us dont have a problem with you, the fight, the fighters but we do with the fact that Sky choose to feed us this and very little else. I for one am a fan of you and your stable of boxers and always look forward to seeing your cards but you must see Frank that none of us want to watch second division football every week no matter how good the games may be.
If it's libellous then yes, but if it's a simple opinion then really I don't see what the problem is. Most people's gripe here is mainly the week-in week-out lower standard of fare on offer on Friday Fight Night these days, they are conning people most weeks with some of the matchups we are seeing.
