it is the first that I heard of a boxing college here in the uk. Does anyone know how long it has been going for, and what are your thoughts about it? Has to be a good breeding ground for up and coming talent, as our case of Daniel Naylor suggests. I haven't seen him box, but judging by his attitude towards the sport, he may be one to look out for in the future.

On a similar subject i was reading in allegedly's paper column a few weeks back that a kid was trying to get Boxing made as a studyable A-Level or Degree arguing that most other sports are represented in his way. I wouldn't mind doing a degree in Boxing, that's some homework i WOULD be willing to do :TU:

Wish they had something like that when I was in the amateurs, or if they did, I didn't hear about it. I think its an excellent idea. The boxers get to spar and train alongside some of the best amateurs in the country, while at the same time studying for qualifications. Can't fault it.
