fROCH VS ABRAHAM
fROCH VS ABRAHAM
could this fight happen next year? if froch does indeed unify with bute and wins he will be WBC and IBF champ. abraham is the current IBF middle champ so if he moves up which i think he will soon he will be highly ranked by the IBF so could this fight happen if so who would win?

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
I just can't see Abraham taking this fight in the short term. He is risk adverse and would probably have to move up to SMW.
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
of course he's going to have to move up he's finding it haard to make weight as it is, moving up will happen soon i just thought it would be a tempting fight for himStiff right hand wrote:I just can't see Abraham taking this fight in the short term. Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
This is almost the Last Year for Abraham at Middle, only Fights he's waiting on are Sturm which would be Massive in Germany and of course Pavlik.
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
Abraham will keep his IBF middleweight title until he's a bag of bones. These Germans can't live without titles. Even though AA is well capable of knocking some of the top 168-pounders out, he will sit on that bastard belt with ever diminishing results until some half baked IBF mandatory outworks him. He will keep looking shit and no one will care about AA v Pavlik.
Ironically, I feel AA could knock Froch out, IF Froch keeps fighting the same way that is. I would favour Froch to win, but if he gave free shots away, I think he might not be able to get up like he did vs Taylor...
But I don't feel AA or Sauerland will take a route that will get him near a Froch fight.

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
I see it happening after Abraham fights Pavlik and moves up to Super Middleweight
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
i cant see this fight ever happening, but if it did i fell froch would beat him easy, with his constant pressure.
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
thats my point i didnt mean in abrahams next fight i just meant eventully as froch could posses the ibf SM belt by then and abraham would be highly rated by thembrian13 wrote:I see it happening after Abraham fights Pavlik and moves up to Super Middleweight
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
i don't know, abraham looked really good at super middle, whereas he's fighting on fumes at middle. at 168 aa could do some serious damage.cnnrboy5 wrote:i cant see this fight ever happening, but if it did i fell froch would beat him easy, with his constant pressure.

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
Abraham by KO. He'd be healthier at 12stone.
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
very possible, AA by KO. if froch gives away free shots, it's over, he'll go down and not get up (IMO)
so why aren't King Arthur and the sauerkrauts going for fights like these?
(looks like AA was wise to pull out of geale fight as geale nearly beat mundine yesterday)

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
Geale pulled out of the fight saying he´d rather fight Mundine, if he got an offer. A win over Mundine in a prime time slot for a mandatory spot or interim belt for more money and better exposure is certainly a better deal for a young contender than fighting Abraham.Autobarn wrote:very possible, AA by KO. if froch gives away free shots, it's over, he'll go down and not get up (IMO)

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
I have reservations about Paul Williams - far too skinny for super middle, would have to pick his fights up there very carefully - and Ward, who looks very fragile.
Hopkins would be just too elusive, all wrong for Froch. Abraham - for controlled power punching - , and also Mundine, very slick and sharp, although he seems to lose confidence a bit under pressure.

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
abraham's going to take his next opponent oral
Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
i like froch a lot but hes an accident waiting to happen at elite level.
I agree with you guys about abraham wasting away in germany.I see him becoming another michaelczewski, losing against n ordinary mandatory like dariusz did against julio gozalez.Shame really as i firmly beleive abraham has the potential to be a truly great fighter

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
abraham would be smasdhing the shit out of opponents up at super middle. but IMO they are scared to drop that title, which is becoming a ball and chain.
if he can have oral, he'll probably go on to lose to the madatory, lorenzo

Re: fROCH VS ABRAHAM
Abraham is vastly under-rated, i too feel he`d be a level or two too much for Froch.
Not too sure if he`d stop carl .. but he`d give him a constant and heavy handed drubbing .. that would in all likelyhood ruin froch much as calzaghe ruined lacy
.. steer clear Froch, this guy is very gifted and at his peak.
