Yes, careless. You would think an advanced Western European country like Germany would have a Hep B immunisation program. Maybe Chagaev is wary of needles.
perhaps that's how he caught it???

seriously though, it is a pretty common disease, who knows how he caught it.

My point is this. Hepatitis B is a disease that can be prevented by a series of injections, followed by annual booster shots. Most people in emergency services and medical work have the immunisation. They give you three shots over a period of time first up, and if that does not confer immunity you get more until it takes. In a sport like boxing with the close proximity to other people in gyms you would think all boxers would take the treatment.

Agree with that. Bowie's doing OK for an untested prospect and the US jaunt can only help.

Hoppa's not going anywhere. I think we knew that anyway based on prior defeats, but I suppose McCall was worth a gamble, given his age.

What happened to Rogan?
He won the Prizefighter tournament against a strong field. He beat an Olympic gold medallist. He beat a European and Commonwealth champion. A run of three top-drawer results that made him a household name at home and gained him the respect of many international fans. Then he lost a highly competitive match against a young, hungry prospect that finished in controversial circumstances and could have gone either way.

What happened to Meehan?
