Joan Guzman 312-10. He also had 12 fights against top Cuban boxers and won all 12. What was Ottke's record?

I've pretty sure Ottke was 256-47-5. Not overally impressive but he beat guys like Juan Carlos Gomez and Dariusz Michalczewski. Here's a link that shows a small part of his amateur record if your interested.

256-47......are u kidding me......how is that not impressive? The guy had 250 wins.....once you reach a certain level your boxing only the best in the world...thats an awesome record. Half these fighters records are fabricated, believe me.

Kostas won a disputable contest in late 1980's world championships against Scotland's Jim Pender.

The fight ended in a draw. Using the newly installed computer judging system the judges went back to round 1 and decided the outcome of the fight on who scored the first blow.

Tsyu won and the rest became history.

Jim Pender became Scottish ABA champion 7 times and won ABA title once. Never went to ABA finals again as was opposed to English Amateurs rules on head guards.

In Scotland they were compulsary but south of the border they weren't at time, therefore Scottish National champions did not go down to compete in ABA finals choosing to fight at World Championships.

I’m sorry to dissapoint you but you are totally wrong!! I saw Kostya Tszyu outclass Jim Pender, winning a 21-0 decision!!! This was in the first round of the 1991 European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden. Kostya was brilliant and played with Pender, he wasn’t so KO-crazy back then but more of a boxer.

The bout you refer to Pender losing on a countback decision must be against two-time Olympic champion Oleg Saitov at the 1993 World championships in Tampere, Finland where the russian won by +6-6. Saitov was only 18 and went on to win a bronze medal.

By the way, you don't win a countback on the first punch of the fight but on total punches scored after deleting the highest and lowest scoring.
