at least 500 man points for anyone who can recall any kind of commentary suggesting that a cutman was anything less than a battlefield surgeon who could stop the bleeding from anything below a 9mm bullet wound.

I remember Barney eastwood used to do cuts but terible hands shakes while doing it!!!
I was with Paul Miles when he boxed in france, he was a bad cutter, but I done his cuts that night, but he got stopped but not by a cut, the french liked me that much, they kept me in the corner!!,
Gary Jacobs topped the bill that night against Carpentier..
I think its judgement than luck being a cutsman

The Hearns fight, one assumes. The Gutteridge twins were legendary cornermen (and presumably cutsmen).

I've had the fortune of working a few corners with Benny King. He's very good. Prepares everything every thoroughly beforehand so if he's needed its all done perfectly. Nice fella too. "Helloo son!".

I was asked if I was Benny King the other day (on here). I was hugely flattered and perversely tempted to say 'yes' but I had to admit I was little Steve Connolly.
