Yes, but if you take away his Dad's 10%, the taxman's 50% and the 4(?) mill. divorce settlement, you can see he might have to don either the dancing trousers or the boxing shorts once again.
Yes its a bit of a worry getting down to your last couple of million LOL. You are right though there is a wide gap between the gross and the net.
