What world ratings?

I really don't see how it is a disgrace that Khan gets to fight for a world title.

Horse, I think he's on about the WBO lightweight rankings where Prescott is rated below Khan.

don't see it happening. :shame:

mainly cos amir is promoted by warren and we all know about the hatton/warren issues.

warren will want options on hatton as well i expect.

never say never in boxing though. :oo

Is that because Khan's fighting for the WBA title, because he was 3rd at one time and surely a loss wouldn't put him outside the top 15? Other than that, I stand corrected.

How has this EVER been a reason for any fighter not to take a cashout fight?

Its not a big enough cashout fight, Khan isn't a big enough name yet.

Risk/reward wise I would think it would be amongst the best options for a cash out/cash in fight.

Its staggering how many numpties think that Amir Khan can somehow replicate what Manny Pac did.

Amirs power never even managed to knock dead a shot & blind Barrera, or any number of weak feathers who were served up for him - now he's going to ice Hatton?

Khan and Pacman both Asian, both trained by Roach, both would have Hatton stretched out :box:

Hatton will want a big payday for his last fight - he's not going to get one unless Khan really goes big time in the next 6 months.

Also, why would he give Warren the satisfaction of putting his reputation on the line.

It doesn't have to be his last fight. He might see it as a nice payday and a relatively easy win.

Why should he care about Warren? If it is a good deal, I don't see why pettiness should get in the way.

would be big over here though, and if khan had a title i'm sure it could be built up

i agree though, that for all khan's apparent high profile, he's not exactly a big star

u gotta be joking.

that fight would sell out any football stadium u put it in.

americans would take it cos hatton delivers good ratings.

it won't happen though.

pie in the sky this story.

If the fight does happen though i see it being a very tough fight for Hatton.
If anyone out there thinks Ricky will be offered an amount close to £20M they are mistaken! He fought Mayweather & Pacquiao, both in Vegas, & he did not receive £20M for either fight!

I don't even think Hatton get offered £10M for the Khan fight!

So what does Khan bring to the table then? If Hatton can bring good ratings, then why does he need to fight Khan. Hatton won't risk his legacy against a young upstart like Khan who has achieved nothing.

I know it seems funny, but Khan has more reach than Pacquiao and is just as quick. I think he'd land almost at will as soon as Hatton gets in range. Roach would coach him on protecting himself against Hatton's danger shots, which Hatton would probably telegraph like he did against Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I could definitely see Hatton winning, but I think Khan would land first and more often, with Hatton hitting gloves/arms if he did land, and I think Hatton's punch resistance has gone.

How laughable. Khan couldn't even put away a shorter, smaller, older, and half blind Barrera, who was bleeding like a stuck pig.

Hatton is on the slide, but I have no doubts he would eat Khan for breakfast at this stage.

Pacquaio is, and always was a crippling puncher, with absolutely amazing punch technique. Watch the way he turns the wrist over when he hooks, it's a thing of beauty - he has absolutely perfect timing and delivery, and is staggeringly accurate with those bombs.

Khan flaps around like a windup toy with St Vita's dance, he is quick, but so many of his shots are not poised, and he isn't compact and controlled like Pacquaio.

Hatton would take Khan to pieces inside of 6 rounds. As soon as Hatton started landing to the body, Khan's deer in the headlights expression would return, and he would start to unfurl.

but hatton has definitely been knocked down the ladder

manny laid him out and tucked him in!

he could be shell shocked, his confidence might be shot - good fodder for young upstart

if khan beats kotelnik, will sky put on mickey mouse title defences; or will they want something big to justify it being SBO?

can't see hatton having enough appeal to warrant PPV vs just anyone, but together with khan...

As soon as Hatton gets anywhere near Khan he'll have a sharp, accurate jab in his face, putting him off what he was going to do.

IMO an 80% hatton beats a 100% Khan at the minute. Khan is experienced enough yet to beat Ricky, He wouldnt know what hit him when he starts to get shook up on the inside, similar to the 1st 2 rounds of Hatton Collazo, Collazo didnt have a clue and kept looking around for help, but the difference is Collazo had the experience to adapt to Hattons style and did so incedibally well, Khan doesnt have the power of experience to do this.

Hatton got mullered by Pacquaio and Mayweather - Khan got flattened by Prescott and Limond, shaken up by a shot to pieces Gomez, and even a half blind Barrera had him looking flummoxed when he landed.

Hatton has slipped a bit, but come on, he'd go through Khan like a soft shite on a warm day.
