I'm a bit baffled by this talk of Khan going for two golds.
I agree it would be an amazing achievement if he won gold here and beating Kindelan.....well thats a massive ask
but if he did
he's 17, one of the youngest ever gold medal winners, a possible winner of the Val Barker trophy, victor over an amateur boxing legend, a confident television friendly kid
there is NO WAY he would stay amateur whatever his original intentions
the issue would be whether the likes of allegedly could afford him or Bob Arum would snap him up
Bojado is an object lesson in not rushing kids but you can slow track the first two years in the pro ranks to take into account his youth
But all in all, IF he wins, he's a massive hot property and staying in the amateur ranks, going for commonwealth medals or whatever...unlikely surely??

17s just to early to be turning pro, he should wait until after the commonwealth games at least. It would be a big risk to be putting him in against grown men who would try and rough him up. He would have to fight against guys with losing records until he matures and everyone would be talking about how he should step it up and how he's protected, everyone would be getting on his back like Audley and probably Kevin Mitchell in the near future.

I know enough people who know amir khan. He lives right near ma old school. I hope he beats kindelan but last time kindelan beat him by 20 points i think. if he does beat kindelan i cud easily imagine him turning pro if nothing else to get away from all the bs rnd where he lives - a lot of pakistani gansta wannabes + drug dealin and enuff people gettin twated rnd there.
