Froch Vs Pavlik

Post by teddy007 »

According to Arum. If Pavlik fights and beats Sturm and Froch fights and beats Bute that fight will be made for early 2010. That would be a great styles matchup. Froch will win a hard fought decision imo. Thoughts?

Close decision win for either sounds likely to me. Could Froch cope with Pavlik's work rate? Pavlik might even be re-energised going through a proper training camp to make 168 lbs. Proper slugfest. I'd love it. :DDD

Also, it'd be nice to see Pavlik beat Sturm.

Personally I think he'll fight Abraham first. At least I hope so.

IMO there's too many good fights at 160 for him; Sturm (yes he's over-rated, but another trinket to win) and Williams. Maybe even Wright.

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe Arum would give a bit of advice: don't fight Hopkins as it will eff these plans up.

If Arum is already talking of a 168 fight, Pavlik might be ready to move up, with scant pickings & weight making down at 160.

Froch v Pavlik would be a wild war, especially if neither try to avoid shots. Would be another fight to make Enzo C throw a fit - another guy Calzaghe didn't face!

Abraham is such a strong & vicious guy. I would favour him to beat Pavlik, although I think Arthur is struggling big time to make 160lbs, so it could catch up with him! Going by the way he performed when he fought Miranda at a limit of 166lbs, I think Abraham will be even better when he moves to SMW, which cannot be more than two fights away, surely?

reckon weight making has beaten abraham just about. he has power but not the stamina to finish anyone good off.

Beating Bute is a big "if." Is that fight even signed yet? You gotta admire Froch's attitude though - he could have easily had two "gimme" defences in Nottingham by now but instead assuming he beats Bute he will have had potentially Pascal, Taylor, Bute and Pavlik in a row! RESPECT!

"What more do you want" Froch is a warrior. I just love the commentary from the Americans in the last round of the Taylor fight.

"I`m coming back to England Mom and I`m keeping my title". I watch that regulary on you tube. Top stuff.

I think Froch will get to Pavlik early doors. Bute worries me more, but not as much as Hopkins. Hopkins would negate him for the whole fight and take him for a comfortable points win.

Would be a good fight for Pavlik think he would probably win hes really fit and has a very good chin I dont think Froch could KO him and Pavlik would outbox him and win on points imo

I think he'll have a war with Bute and sneak it.....I actually think he'd do better v Pavlik as he is vastly overrated with awful footwork and speed. He looked rubbish last time out and we all know what happened v Hopkins.

I just hope Carl's chin doesn't let him down because he's going to need it against these guys..

If Froch beats Bute then I would have no doubts that Froch would beat Pavlik.
