Hi, I am an American boxing fan. I would love to see this fight or even
the whole card featuring the 6 Brittish heaveys. I've pretty much given up on the American heaveyweight prospects. However this is pretty much a long shot because I don't have the technologht to convert from the U.S NTSC forma to the European PAL format. I know it is unlikely but if anyone in the U.K. has the ability to make the conversion and can drop me a line I'd appreciate it

I cheked their site and it isn't on it. I haven't heard that it would be shown. I could be wrong though.

Sure you can't play PAL in the States these days? Virtualy all tv and videos in Europe now play NTSC as well as PAL ( they convert the picture for you ) even the cheapest models do this. Amazing the USA haven't done the same by now - especialy as PAL is a much better quality picture

Does anyone else get this weird feeling that Danny will waste any progress made from the Tyson fight by getting knocked on his arse?

Wouldn't be the first time. Kirk Laing went to the USA and beat the great Duran in another huge upset - next time out he's staring up at the ring lights.

The Tyson fight has been his best performance in years so, if he reverts to form, yes, he could get dusted.

As far as I know there are two issues here. One is region coding and the other is NTSC/PAL.

My old man is a wizard on DVD compression & region ripping and from what I know the best way to be sure a UK recording will play is to rip the region coding first. After that, as mighty Warrior said, most modern TV's should play NTSC or PAL.

Other thing you may find as well is that most modern DVD players have a setting to play either NTSC or PAL, you'll know if you have the wrong setting cuz playback will be black & white.
