Baby Bull too soon for Murray?

Post by winkveron »

I know it's only rumour at the moment but this is maybe too soon for Jon. He has been inactive but is still only 24 so there isn't a huge rush. Maybe 2 years down the line it could be possible. I think if he beats Thaxton (if they meet in September as mentioned) he should go for a European and defend it a couple of times before even considering World level. By then he'd still only be 26. But he needs to make sure he keeps active and get out every 3 months or so.

If he beats Lawton will the Thaxton fight be a mandatory or voluntary?

I know both are promoted by Hennessy but in terms of a risk fight Thaxton is a bigger one than the winner of Mezaache v whoever in my opinion.

Don't know if it's a mandatory or not. And it may be more risky than the European title but maybe he feels he needs to get Thaxton out of the way before he moves on a level, to prove he is the best lightweight in Britain. Now that Khan has stepped up a division and shown no interest in fighting either of them anyway.

I would like him to fight Thaxton and if he wins that Maazache and then he might be ready for Diaz who has a relentless style i doubt hes ready for that fight yet but in a few fights he may be
