good back then as pascal was the whole games best fighter hands down,smith gave him hell.
i think pascal actually looked up for the clock & then had one last spurt where he sealed the point.

He outsmarted me in the last 8 seconds. Glanced up as you said and caught me with a big right hand.
It was 0-6 after first round, then 5-6, then 9-9 after third round then 17-17 with 8 seconds to go.

I was the only boxer in the games who fought 5 times, fractured my scaphoid in the semi final vs Craig McEwan the day before fighting Pascal. I beat Taz Jones(RSC3) then a tough kid from Cameroon(RSC3), then Ghanain Thomas Awimbono(PTS) who boxed Bradley Price recently. Craig McEwan in the semis and lost in the final. 5 fights in 7 days

For the record, Pascal hit like a mule

pascal was certainly not enjoying it in there.

someone on here posted pascals last fight @ l.heavy & he was devestating against an extremely durable opponent.

Did you feel you beat craig paul? lot of craigs shots espc near the end were clearly hitting and not scoring espcially last ten secs? also how do you rate him?

mcewan got well beat,very silky & caused a few probs but was over awed, abit like when he got beat beat by duddy in the four nations.

my memory must be going. i was positive paul won by one point, and that craig had at least 5 clean scoring shots not counted last tens seconds. must be my mistake. cant seem to find footage or results page anywhere.

I won the fight, did more than enough and as stated above, with a fractured scaphoid from the second rd. It finished 20-18 i think....
I was having shots that were landing but not registering as well as craig.
I was also at the 4 nations losing to duddy by 2 who went on to lose to McEwan


I rate Craig, always did as an amateur and I've only seen him once as a pro. He looked good and I think he certainly has the pedigree to be very good.
He's a lovely lad, who I've always had time and respect for, before and after we boxed.

my mistake mcewan was allways the nearlly man in the ams,apart from the 4 nations :!:

mcewan recorded a good win v the guy who stopped andy lee...who was also on the contender you was in brian vera i think?
in the contender he went straight for gold & picked the most dangerous fighter & got punished. but what a tough kid.
i think since the lee fight vera as had some hard fights & allways goes in with the best i have a feeling he's had alot of stuffing knocked out of him but still a great victory for mcewan as it was a bannana skin fight for him.

HE beat pascal aswell as duddy, and paul beat him 20-19 just watched footage, 6 unaswered shots from craig not scored in last ten secs, the fact that he won over 300 am fights would hardly say he was the nearly man won loads at home and abroad, says paul is a great kid.

& did degale beat him twice pretty easily??
