Post by alexpaterson »

ITV-Rosenthal,McGuigan and usually a Hennessy Boxer commentators-Rawling and McKenzie
Setanta-Buncey, Kerr Commontaters- Varieys sometimes Rawling Woodhall
SKY-Smith,McCroary,Nelson Commontators Darke and Watt

Personally I like Setanta as its the funniest and they talk the most sence my least faviorite is SKY as they seem to like every fighter they see and dont seem to talk there mind imo

Rosenthal is head and shoulders above the lot of them, although ITV's commentating team are a bit cringeworthy at times.

Buncey is the most entertaining and works well with Andy Kerr.

Sky have gone absolute shite since last year, they used to be the best in the business a few years back.

Nicky Piper does my nut in. I like Darke, Rawling, Mee and Woodhall (top man). Smith is stupid.

Darke i like too, but pre hatton-Pacman he tried to sell all this Hatton lb4lb bullshit. Then when he got knocked out it was, "forget lb4lb titles, the concern now is for Hatton's health".

Glen McCrory is annoying, he can't say a sentence without saying "you know" fifteen times.

Agree on Woodhall and Rawling.

Darke is the best but overall I'd say Setanta....

I just can't be doing with Rawlings, the smug twot.

I would say Setanta, but Andy Kerr can talk some nonsense at times.

Jim Watt is always wise after the event but Ian Darke is tremendous.

Buncey is the best studio pundit by a country mile.

If one of the stations could get Dempsey and Bunce in the studio with Darke and Woodhall ringside doing the commentary then I would watch any fight they ever show :TU:

Disagree that Watt is wise after the event, I think he picks things quicker than anyone else.

I would still say Sky are the best... Yes, would love to see a return for "bye for now" Dempsey - but even I think they generally have the best pundits and commentators. Just their fights aren't much cop.

Ian Darke by a country mile (even if he's biased for UK fighters)

Presenter: Paul Dempsey (So many of the big fight nights before SKY's boxing coverage imploded and still my best presenter)

Commentator: Ian Darke (Crap on the Premier League commentary on SKY classy and knowledgable on SKY boxing bouts)

Summariser: Steve Bunce (One word, LEGEND)
