Well thats the 500 up!

Post by neil r »

well there you go gents 500 posts. or to put it another way...0.28% of total / 2.94 posts per day

every one gem. not as many as some folks but like all the best lovers, i provide quality over quantity.

so heres to the next 500. another 500 posts of petty and ill informed boxing banter, puerile ramblings and general tomfoolery!!

seriously though. since i finally got round to joining last march, ive thouroughly enjoyed myself, which obviously is down to all you other folks on here... even if my 'best/worst olympic sports' thread didnt get to 100 posts!! :(

theres been tears, theres been laughter, theres been ups, theres been downs. but never boring and never missing the chance to fly the st andrews cross

so slainte mhath gents.. keep up the good work and happy postings!!

Scooby snack you mean?

Well, it's got the word cheers in it, does that count. Slainte being cheers of course. Pronounced shlanch-a for those not lucky enough to have the blood of irish forefathers coursing through their veins.

ehhhhh... nope. the word 'slainte' vauguely translates as 'health'. 'mhath' being 'good' ergo.. good health and its more accuratly pronnounced "Slanzh'va".

its traditionally said after someone buys you a drink which is perhaps where your getting a bit muddled with it having the word cheers in it! maybe the blood of your irish forefathers is running the wrong way!!
