Naz is back
as advisor to new FW signing Billy Dibb. Makes sense as the Aussie showman fancies himself as a reincarnation of Hamed.
Touted to make his British debut in late Summer. Strange one this, can't help but think there's a plot ahead.

Dibb is a very poor imitation of NAZ.My Name Is Earl wrote:as advisor to new FW signing Billy Dibb. Makes sense as the Aussie showman fancies himself as a reincarnation of Hamed.

err..he is a bit of an hype job, it must be said.
I wonder if Mosley and Golden Boy have let him go?
Re: Naz is back
Dib might be a hype job, but he will smash all of the domestic level fights.
Re: Naz is back
Presume so. Probably best. He's had two crap decisions on the cards I saw against "journeymen".
And screaming "Whooooo!" in Leuvano's face after losing a round made him look like even more of a dick.

Can't see him being brought over for domestic fights. Dibb outside the top 10 in all 4 majors. Below Lindsay in one of them.

Re: Naz is back
The term "Aussie" and the word Boxer don't go together too well.

Couldn't of said it better myself. Britain is so far ahead of our ex-prisoners is un-real, but hey they are the best at cricketyiddo14 wrote:The term "Aussie" and the word Boxer don't go together too well.

Never seen him fight, but have read that you don;t like him. Can I ask for the basics on him, big man?Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:Presume so. Probably best. He's had two crap decisions on the cards I saw against "journeymen".

Re: Naz is back
Imagine Naz, boxing in toffee, being stoned.
Just seems lazy whenever I've seen him. Expects the win without making the effort. Perhaps he's got used to it on GBP untelevised undercards so expects it in the big leagues.
I don't often berate fighters, but I can't stand crap ones getting decisions on undercards against journeymen that deserve the win.
How he got a title shot is beyond me.

Re: Naz is back
The first time i saw him was on the Hatton-Maussa undercard in Sheffield. He had an entourage the size that i expect someone like Floyd Jnr. might have and i'd heard Naz had been talking him up.
Alas, he was sh*t.

Re: Naz is back
didn't Naz train him for a spell a few years back?
Re: Naz is back
The reason why I mentioned the domestic fighters is because he is eligable to fight for the Commonwealth title, and if he is being backed by Warren - I expect him to go down that route.

I'd like to invite you too over to the Australian Boxing board! They aren't half delusional over there, ranking Kali Meehan over Haye, claiming Katsidis as the second coming and predicting Danny Green will be a force at heavyweight... then they get all upset and start flinging insults if any foreigner points out that Australian boxing is not, actually, all that good.teddy007 wrote:Couldn't of said it better myself. Found, I didn't even knew that existed.
Re: Naz is back
Billy Dibb is a cocky arrogant little shite who, for some unknown reason seems to get easy fights and easy disciions, but there is another kid there called lENNY sARAVIGNOW oR something like that , WHO I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IN WITH kHAN in a couple more fights , simply because , Aussies are not renowned for being good boxers but , I think he would still stop Khan and do it easy
Re: Naz is back
i think naz did train billy dib for a while a few years back but knid of lost interest after finding out he was a bit of a twat

That'll be Lenny Zappavigna, Coneye. I remember watching him in the CW games on tv and kept an eye out for him when he went pro. He does look a good prospect but hasn't really made the step up yet, his next (20th) fight is agsinst an 8-9-2 journeyman according to boxrec so don't expect to see him in with Khan for a while.

Anybody see this fight? It happened a few days ago I believe. This dib guy is a real piece of work. Aussie boxing seems to be back in the stone age looking at this clip. The ref and the commentators all need to look at themselves. The post fight interviewer was absolutely appalling too.
Disgrace.
