What next for Alex Arthur?

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on where Arthur goes (presuming he gets by Benbiou tomorrow) in his next few fights? Read an earlier thread suggesting him as an opponent for John Murray, but can't see him moving back down to British Title level, although given the weight debacle it's unlikely that belt would be at stake. Reckon it would be a great fight though.

He's bordering on 31 and doesn't have time to waste. Often wondered how much he relied on being the bigger fighter at Super-Feather and whether he'll carry enough of a dig at Light. Is there a possibility he jumps the queue and gets in with Mezaache next?

I hate hearing that from the Sky boys. Apart from his family I don't think there's too many people interested in his fight tonight. Let's be honest, he's in against a bum who he should finish quite early. If he doesn't then that boy has massive problems.

On the undercard of a bill this weak, I would have hoped that they could have found him a decent opponent to add a bit of meat to another dire domestic fight card.

To be fair I think he was absolutely bollocks at the super-feather limit and I think to a degree it explains the last 2 years or so of his career. Whilst not being a big fan of boxers making excuses, the weight issue was clearly in evidence, the guy was a dead man walking in his last couple of fights.

His fault for not moving up sooner, I hear you cry and I completely agree but he has now and I actually think he could make for some interesting fights, certainly domestically and I have no doubt he beats the Euro champ Mezaache handily as well.

Further than that who knows and realistically probably only a sub standard world champion would be in his radar but he has a good 2 years at this standard and I think him and John Murray would be a great fight and I am not that certain on the result. He beats Thaxton for me even with Jon's power, I think Arthur gets rid of him in the first three rounds.

I note that Cleverly/McIntosh are fighting soon so FW AND MH can work together when it suits, so I see no reason why one of the above can't be made as long as Arthur is game for it.

He may not want to go back to British title level but he needs to remember this is a new weight and he has not yet proved himself the best in Britain so perhaps there is some ground to cover there before thinking of world straps.

Amazing win last night. Probably his best all-round performance. That French guy never gets stops like that, so I think Arthur's ready to take on the best at 135lbs now. For me, he stops Marquez inside five rounds if he fights like last night. Future undisputed champion.

Possibly at Lightweight if kahn gets a sod of mandatory from the WBA.

Its an easyish way for kahn to be a two weight world champion.

Is Khan going to move back down if he looks good against Kotelnik? I doubt it, as his chin lapses could then be blamed on making 135lbs, and the fish-fornicator will start to hype Khan all over again. Roach has also stated that he wants Khan to stay at 140lbs.
