Good to get the live fights back on the TV.
Some quick comments from me of the fights i saw, for what they are worth.
Hannan V Hernadez - good start for Casey...but it's hard to put into perspective against the opposition. Next fight will tell a little more.
Flethcher v Coppick - Firstly Coppick was game and i reckon deserved a kd in that weird exchange in the 3rd round when both fighters ended up on the canvas(?). However Fletcher was a class above with his accuracy and combinations. He has a great jab and solid right. Needs to work on his defense, as he did get tagged a couple of times. Keeping his hands up would be a good start. Regardless, i think we saw the emergence of a gifted fighter. Lets see how far he goes. Good fight stoppage by filthy Phil as well.
Sherrington v Fitzpatrick - Class difference was obvious, but you have to hand it to Fitzpatrick for toughing it out (untill the ref called it). Some of Les' best punches were his rips to the body. He needs to load up more though, as the commentators suggested, as he tends to throw plenty of arm punches. Perhaps watch a few tapes of how Lappa does it. Nothing much proved here, but a good hitout for Les.
Maley v McConville - Somones "0" must go said Andy Raymond......wrong Andy, wrong. The dissapointment was evident on McConvilles face getting his 3rd draw in only his 5th fight. It was just starting to settle down into a solid fight as well. No one can accuse Maley of not coming to the fight in top condition. Fuck he was ripped. I reckon we would all benefit by seeing these two go around again.
Leapai v Wilson - Didn't expect the result to be honest. After the 2nd round it seemed to be settling into the ususal tempo. Alex pushing forward, Colin pawing the jab and throwing some combo's. That was untill the 8th when a solid short left(going by memory) from Alex really shook up Colin. Alex had the ring smarts to go after him and the fight should have been stopped right there. However, the ref' thought otherwise and Alex went in for, and got, the kill. A good win for Alex and a good domestic HW fight. What does it do for Alex other then adjust the ledger with Colin? fucked if i know. It won't launch his career overseas or anything like that, but it was a very good effort none the less.

Re: Southport Fights
Well Said.
Thought it was a little disappointing with the 2 TD fights, but i guess you get that.

It was good to get our 1 card every 5 weeks, heard the commentators say they will be back on july 24, featuring Zappa, hussein, and Medley.
I thought Grange had ex amount of cards and 3 or 4 PPVs to put on this year, so far this is there 2nd card and only 1 very good PPV.
Ahh, must be finishing strong this year.
