Greater In Accomplishment Or Ability?

Post by Goodnight, Irene »

Name a fighter, & allow the next poster down the line to lay claim as to whether that boxer was more prominent in what they accomplished, or how much talent & ability they possessed.

Here we go...

Buzz

you could say that Collins' post was some what serious
as many in this here boxing community take the claims
of Mr Lipton as being very serious and very real.

Thank you. Accomplishment for Hamed, but his ability, though nothing fantastic, is going to become more & more under-estimated as the years pass. Good, not great, fighter, who is now thought of as a joke.

Joel Casamayor...
another tough one ('great thread', he echoes.... )

very talented indeed, stellar ama record, makes it difficult to say his achievements as a pro quite matched his ability.

to an extent he 'overachieved' a little, later on, but close fights /losses/ disputable decisions with as many lesser-talented (IMO) fighters, as he had, makes Joel greater in

ABILITY

next:

Kevin Kelley. don't know why, he just came to mind

Ability

His accomplishments never quite matched his mouth. Always good value though.
