Edit1: Aahhh 5 point gap. Looks to me like from where the judges are sitting they can't see when some of Amir's punches connect.

Edit 2: Level terms middle of round 3. Ahead by 2!

Edit 3: Wow! What a turnaround. 6 points up at end of round 3. The kazachstani's tiring badly. Hopefully Amir's gunna get on his bike in this round.

It was anybody's fight after two rounds, but then Khan pulled out a superb last two rounds and ran out a clear winner. He was knocking his opponent's head back by the end.

He was aggressive, he was silky skilled...he was everything. He's a superstar. And he's 17.

after he said he felt nervous in the waiting room before the bout, and that he started slowly because of that.

but he was excellent in rounds 3 and 4, totally outboxed his oponent.

has anyone seen the Cuban in the other semi? did he win?

Kindelan won on points pretty comfortably, about 21-10 I think his fight was.

Amir is one of the only guys ive seen in the tournament whose punches constantly knock his opponents head around.

it was tense watching for the first couple of rounds. imo Khan should have led at the end of the first, I remember a sequence when he landed 4-5 punches and the kazahak landed I think 1 back and none of them were counted. the scoring shitstem is absurd, shouldd be the same as the pro's, 3 minute rounds too....(grumble grumble grumble...I blame God etc)

Anyway he was great, they both fought really well but Khan's impressive at making the adjustments, mature beyond his years

as i've said on a couple of other threads , the only real cause for concern i have about khan is his slowish starts. thats something he cant afford against kindalin

you are rigtht. It's completely to do with getting into a rhythm. He looked anxious as well, perhaps standing infront of his opponent for too long. He has to always be on the move..because of his low hands, when he is static he becomes a lot easier to hit.

Kindelan is a firm favourite without a doubt. He looked so impressive tonight, for the first time he upped his game and schooled a very useful Russian. I can see Kindelan just edging Khan in each round, to then take a win by about 8 points. That's my prediction. But you are right, Khan needs to settle as quickly as possible.

Kindelan has loads of skill - first time I saw him today. It's his ability to not get hit which most impresses me - reminded me a bit of RJJ with his style. One negative is that I don't like the way he prances around without turning it into enough of a fight. He also looks a bit bigger than most in his weight class.

I think Amir should come out and try and knock Kindelan out, maybe with one of those fast right hands. He seems to breeze through his matches, its time he took a few shots. Better this way than just getting outboxed and tamely going down.

Missed the Kindelan fight cause i had to go back to work, thought they might show it straight after...you know at least feign interest and see who our lad had got in the final. But typical of the poor quality BBC, they went over to the more acceptable high brow sports and "We will return to Boxing later..." WHY?! The fight is on now let's fornicating watch it!! Instead they cut to some athlete babbling on...."Wow, yeah Boxing....people hitting and each other....yeah one on one"

Jeez!

Anyway rant over....

Khan did well, boxed well and it was lucky his man tired cause he was posing some problems. Best moment of the night?

Kindalen will start favourite, which is right. All Khan can do is go out there and try to start like he did in the third and forth rounds today.

Whatever happens on Sunday he has done himself and his country proud.

I hope he stays amateur, for the time being at least

there have hardly been any KOs (Khan's against the Korean was the first) this competition, and i dont think Khan is would be able to KO someone so good defensivly and all round. He can match Kindelan for speed..and i dont think anyone else has been able to do that. Khan has to be patient, and if possible make Kindelan miss..or beat him to the punch...Khan needs to make his speed count.

If he tries to box with Kindelan then I think he would just get picked off with those long shots that Kindelan uses and then he'd maybe lose a comfortable decision, I think he should just go for it. This is Kindelans very last fight before he retires, he's bound to be nervous himself, and also who knows? Kindelan may try to go out with a bang and get reckless. Just aim for the chin Amir, lets see how Kindelan takes a shot, he's so use to having his way.

Khan looked silky smooth after a nervous start but remember he wasn't fighting a pushover!

Havn't seen the Cuban yet but if Khan boxes like he did in rounds 3 & 4, the whole time he should take home the gold.

Cannot wait for this man to turn pro....wonder what weight he would debut at...?...if he fills out he could start at 147?
