because wlad uses him more a tactaician and conditioner than than true trainer he goes out tehre and does what he wants watch the ibragimov fight and inbetween round steward is imploring wlad to throw more to get ibragimov out of there and he ignores him.

if you really want to see steward being at hi most effective watch him when he is with lewis and the 2nd hearns-leonard fight

But, I think a great trainer gets the MOST out of a fighter.

Watch Manny with Kermit The Frog Cintron and Jermain Tayloir, thats the REAL Manny!

Lennox and Hearns were blessed.

Manny has long been a 'gun for hire' he has not developed a great fighter since the ARK.

How many of the top 10 fighters are Manny proteges?

he may not have had as good a relationship with taylor or cintron hes doing good with andy lee

when was the last time mayweather snr brought someone through and hes even said hes to old to bring someone through and if hes to old to do it so manny must be miles to old as well. everyone has bed nights or has blips with fighters - wlad wins but its just that hes boring.

no-one slated mayweather when hansaw lost to roy jones or the way hatton ignored the game plan against pacquiao.
roach hasnt had it all his way look at james toney and virgil hill.
you cant train everyone and be successfull with them but with manny and wlad they are successfull even though wlad seems to igorne him alot.

wlad may be overated but he does what he does well and it gets him the wins
manny is a top trainner for a reason and for every top fighter hes had there are ones whose flopped as well

you dont have to be a hall of fame boxer to be at the top of your ability andy lee is doing good he may not be a legend like hearns but not everyone is. i found it amazing jon thaxton won the EU title and wasnt suprised that he lost it against a non descript frenchman.

basically from what ive interprested from your responce (feel free to correct me) is that because andy lee isnt going to be a hof'er he's not doing well

It was Emanual Steward who said Andy Lee was a Hall Of Fame fighter, that's the same Andy Lee who got stiffed off Brian Vera

In the early/mid 90s he went though the kind of streak Freddie Roach is on now. Training Mccall to KO Lewis, Holy to outwork Bowe, then Lewis for the rest of his career.

Am I right in thinking Steward refused to train Lewis unless he got a managers cut of the purses? Or at least a co manger cut. In which case he must be loaded..

Andy Lee gets hit way too much does not have the 'natural' ability to be anything other than a mediocre brawler, imo. He is dong well by normal standards, but as domeone touted for World Titles and HOF, he is not doing wel at all.

Steward hypes his fighters way too much, and it is funny how the ones who lose under Manny are forgotten about ( Cintron and Taylor).

Manny is a good trainer.

Manny is a gun for hire, a celebrity trainer.

Manny has that as standard these days, he was also managing Gerald Mcclellan ( or had a stake) when he fought Benn, it has been said he took his cut from the Benn fight also.

At the time I thought that was wrong, he should have waived that payment.

Manny is after the cash he wanted $400Kfrom Holyfield for one oif their fights,Evander said, NO NO NO!

Manny Steward is the Gordon Ramsey of the Boxing World, there are many unknown trainers
(Chefs) who do better jobs, Georgie Benton of Pernell Whittaker famed being one of them.

George Benton lost serious credibility when he tried to prevent Eddie Futch pulling Joe Frazier out at the end of the 14th round in Manila. Steward gave Naz some great advice when Naz was really struggling against Paul Ingle and I like the fact most of his fighters have a dig. As for Pernell Whitaker being better. Give it a few decades before you make much such a statement. Steward's first world champ was in 1980 (Kenty).
Roach is probably the best trainer in the world right now.

Wlad has improved immensely with Stewart.

He paces himself more, ties up fighters on the inside, and is much better at controlling fights with his jab. Stewart needs to make him a little bit more aggressive with the right hand though.

He didn't do so badly with Cintron, his only losses were against Margarito and that was always gonna be a difficult fight for Cintron who isn't the best but has done alright
