Do you think he needs more time and a few more fights against the bigger guys before fighting any of the brothers. For me he has been far too inactive to go into fights against them.....thoughts anyone

He doesn't deserve a fight against the Klitschkos. He has beaten nobody at HW and IMO should fight somebody like Dimitrenko or Arreola to earn a shot. He needs the HW experience too.

i think he does deserve a shot and so do the fans, all these dodgy russian mandatorys and the washed up likes of hasim rahman.

at least haye will give it a good shot and if he loses which i personally believe so,it will be by KO and not submission

I definetly think he needs to stay active as he cant fight a Klitschko with 1 fight in about 16 months he needs to get used to fighting bigger guys I dont think he really deserves a title shot would like to see him against Arrerola or Chambers or but he needs to stay active before hes going to get a title shot

I think it would definitely be prudent to now try and get one of the fringe contenders to meet him to keep away the ring rust and to get more used to fighting heavyweights.

Tho the Barrett performance was decent, at times you could see the size of Barrett was sometimes a problem for Haye i.e. when they came together in clinches etc the sheer size of Barrett seemed to be overpowering Haye, who at cruiser was used to it being the other way round.

Arreola or someone like that is a good shout and he'd spank their arse anyway.

Fight the big boys in the gym and then fight WJab RightKo.

Shameful that a man with only a Jab and a Right Hand to his arsenal is the champ.

If it broke than don't fix it. Plus he's still smashing them with piston straights. :TU:

Good name @ DG

V Jab Right-KO

Thats about how its worked in the last couple of years

As for haye

Should fight Jameel McLine if he can't get Vitali. I actually think he has more chance against Vitali then he does against Vlad. At first I thoughrt he had less of a chance but then
I was watching Vitali against Gomez last couple of rounds and his punches looked sloppy as hell, as though he didnt know what he is doing. Yes one of them can land and take Haye out but I could see Haye's speed baring more fruit

In all reality he probably takes a nap in both fights

McCline is retired and was totally out of condition when Arreola knocked him out in 4. Arreola got their first i'm afraid. Ray Austin is a better shout for a warm-up, on a winning streak and heavy and tall. or maybe Tony Thompson with the idea of doing a better job than Wlad or even Juan Carlos Gomez and flattening him much quicker than Vitali.

I would like Haye to fight Holyfield or Cedric Boswell next.

I think Boswell would give him a very good fight.

Think me and you must have watched a different haye barrett fight. that was a clear dismantling of a larger fighter.

Arreola is a pumpkin, he's a nobody. why should an undisputed champ fight some kid who hasnt proved himself yet, just because he's the best the yanks have to offer doesnt mean he's any good. start talking about Arreola vs Fury and id say it was a realistic match up!

He should just fight valuev like i thought he should have in the 1st place. knock out a paper champion then fight the klitchkos as a world champ!

Regardless if he dserves a shot or not against the Klitschko brothers, Haye will get his chance agianst one of them! In today's business world, facing Haye would provide either both Wladamir or Vitali with a higher purse than it would facing any other HW out there! Right or wrong, this will dictate things!

Vitali has scored a victory in respect of him having to face Maskaev. Now that he does not have to fullfil that obligation straight away, he has said his preferred next opponent would be Haye, in Spetember! Haye has said he wants the fight, so why the fcuk won't it happen?

i think haye should fight sooner than september before the ring rust sets in. just go for valuev is a sure win. it will make the next fight more lucrative.

@punchy tbh I was showing my lack of knowledge of tall heavyweight boxers

My first thought was dimitrenko but Dimi needs Haye like he needs a hole in the head and besides he is one fight away from getting a shot at Klitschko so why would he risk it

Tony thompson I'm pretty sure is southpaw so again not ideal

If we aint really caring abou physcial matchups and are more about getting rid of rust, if it could be sold, I wouldnt mind Toney. I think it would be fun

i think with maskaev now out of the picture, Vitali v Haye ls looking promising for September.
if that's the case then a warm up, ring rust or not would be seen as too risky by team Haye.
If a Vitali fight doesn't come off then the logical choice is surely Valuev, if Haye secures the WBA title then that would bring a title to the Wlad/Vitali negotiation table and shut people up about Haye having to prove himself against a top 10 heavyweight also.

is valuev prepared to fight haye? i havent heard anything from his people.Valuev seems to me to be the kind of fighter to just stick to his mandotary challengers for moderate paydays.Apart from his size he doesnt have an awful lot else
