woods has got a big heart but is on the way down, whereas Cloud is on the way up and the future of the division IMO. KO/TKO around 7th.

Clinton Woods is vastly underestimated, he is still strong and willing so I say Woods on points or K.O :TU:

Itis very difficult to look past Cloud in this one. A stoppage win seems on the cards.

This could spell the end for Clinton. These two are at opposite does of their respective careers - Cloud is a dangerous banger, will Woods be able to deal with his power?

CLOUD will destroy Woods in 8 Rds and retire Woods from Boxing

Actually i'm a Big CLOUD fan, one of my Fave Boxers at moment.

Its an Outrage that HBO or Showtimes refuse to show any CLOUD fights even though he has everything, he's Young, extremely EXCITING to watch, probably the hardest P4P puncher out there, Great personality yet fukin HBO wanna show DAWSON'S boring ass all the time instead and didnt even want to show Dawson vs Cloud, absolutely Shocking!

Have to agree with that. From what I have seen of Cloud he is a real powerhouse, fast and very aggressive. I take him to stop Woods in the middle rounds, maybe earlier.

Woods can box and has a good chin, but this guy is hungry as hell and will be far too much for him.

watch his fights again as he aint fast and hes very inexperienced...clinton had a bad day against tarver but has come back, remember all the hype about rico hoye and look what happened ,this could be a replay of what happened in that fight

i know what you mean mate and i recall the Hoye fight and the hype before too, but i think Cloud is a lot stronger and has better chin than Hoye, i really can't see Clinton old-manning Cloud in 5 rounds.

hope he does, mind :TU:

I have never seen Cloud box, but noticed he stopped Gonzalez, if on his feet, which is a decent effort.

You all have a right to your opinions - I hope you are all wildly wrong!!! :TU:

Spoke to Dennis last night about this fight - its true what Team Cloud are stating about the fight the likelihood is that it will take place in early September or there is a slight chance of late August.

To be honest Dennis is keeping his cards close to his chest with regards to where the fight will take place - I presumed it would be in the states - all I got back is that Dennis is trying his dam best to persuade various parties this fight would be good for the UK.

Just one question for all you "Cloud" admirers - I stress you are entitled to your opinions - I know very little about the guy - what fight has impressed you so much about Cloud that you dismiss Woods so quickly.

In addition - are any of you looking at Woods performance against Muriqi - many of you gave Muriqi a BIG chance and quite frankly Woods bossed that fight - in addition if you listen or take in what has been written on here - Clinton knows this is his last chance for the BIG time - he genuinally feels rejeuvenated under the regime of Glyn Rhodes and he definitely has the hunger back.

Whilst Cloud is clearly a good fighter - are some of you in danger of hyping him up a little too much - or are you severly underestimating Woods in that your perceptions on his decline are way way out.

Whatever - I have the fight one hell of a lot closer than some of you!!! :TU:

Ok I'll attempt to explain but i'd personally rather just wait for the Fight and than you'll see for yourself.

The way CLOUD has been treated in Boxing especially by HBO is one of my personal 'Pet Hates' at the moment, its guys like this that the Public wants to see as he's always exciting and dynamic but instead they throw millions of dollars at Dawson, Wlad and Berto who are Winners but dont entertain whilst doing it.

Ok well I've seen around 5 CLOUD fights including his best win over Gonzalez and no way is he similar to Rico Hoye in any way!

The Reason he will beat and Stops Woods is that he is very similar in style to Glen Johnson who arguably beat Woods in all of their 3 Fights, certainly the first 2. Cloud is a Harder Hitting, stronger, Fresher, more active version of Johnson so will be coming out very aggressively from the opening bell landing bombs on Woods chin who may be able to take them for 3 or 4 rounds but will than start to feel the effects and be slowly broken down till he's eaither TKO'd or his Corner pulls him out around the 8th or 9th.

Teddy - I have no problems having their opinions none at all - it wont be the first time I have been in the minority and it wont be the last.

I have told Dennis myself, there has been a lot of talk about Cloud and that people seriously rate him - but the question has to be on what basis and what particular fight - because there are some people who are almost having a "wet dream" over Cloud - if he is that good and demolishes Clinton then I will be the first to shake his hand - however I honestly believe people are seriously under-rating Clinton Woods here - they have placed him firmly on the scrap heap and all I am stating here is that is a mistake - right the way through Woods career he has been massively under-rated and I feel he has been placed amongst the "has-beens" a little too soon.

Just as a side note mate on your comment concerning Cloud looking impressive on youtube - I am told I looked impressive when I did 3 rounds with Dennis Hobson in the Top Rank gym in Vegas (I was sh*t really!!!  ) - Incidentally I also looked sensational against Mick Hennessy when I did 3 rounds with him only to be robbed of the decision by Robert McCracken who reffed the fight - Seriously mate if you are in with lesser opposition which in Meaty Micks case he clearly was you can look good - a bit like Tavaris Cloud on these youtube clips!!!

Anyhow back to reality - I suspect Tavoris Cloud is a very good fighter indeed and I also suspect he will be many peoples favourite against Woods - my point is please do not write off Woods - because I am positive he will surprise a few people.

Tarvoris was being touted as a opponent / stepping stone back to the top for Roy Jones in 2008, but then Roy suddenly went off the idea.

Since then Cloud has gotten some serious hype surrounding him, but after seeing what Jeff Lacy ended up achieving, i'll reserve my judgement on him until he fights a decent live opponent.

From what i have seen, he looks to be legit and is an aggressive heavy handed prospect.

Cloud's chances depend on which Clinton turns up. If the brave battler turns up, it could be a long grinding night for the American. However if the same version who fought Tarver appears and the hype rings true around Cloud, then it could be a demolition.

I hopes its the former of the two, because if he beats a hot prospect like Cloud, then he's right back in the mix for another fight with a Dawson or a Pascal, which can only be good for British boxing.

The only question remains is.... FFS.... will it be on British TV !

I wouldn't be too quick to write Clinton Woods off either. Rico Hoye was another fancied American with a reputation for being a puncher and we all know what happened there.

If the fight happens, I think you will see that Cloud is the real thing. Hits too hard for an ageing Woods.

We will all see!!!

I am totally delighted Clinton has another chance to prove the critics wrong!!

Whatever the result he had had a fantastic career - and his achievements thus far have proved many an expert wrong in the first place - I have to confess I did not give Clinton a prayer against Rico Hoye - fantastic night that - had about 400 squaddies there who enjoyed themselves.
