Re: Kurtiss Colvin: newest member to the USA boxing team
I agree, I mean people make mistakes, but this guy killed someone. Then he says boxing turned his life around like that makes it all better. The man he killed was someone's son, father, sibling. And it wasn't like it was an accident, he attacked the guy with the intent to do harm.ddmanning wrote:yea hes pretty good. but that chump should still be in prison.

He went through the legal system people. . .and was convicted and sentenced by a jury. . . what do you want him to do volunteer to stay in prison? He punched a guy in the face and unfortunately others continued to beat the guy. Someone else was convicted of the killing. Terrible. But this is a boxing forum and I don't know about where ur from but boxing has given a lot of people second chances boxers AND coaches around my way. If he gets into any trouble, he goes back to prison. I hope boxing does save him and wish him the best. Let's stick to the boxing here.

According to a jury that heard all the evidence and not just a newscast - he didn't kill anyone. Someone died and yes that's terrible, but he was put through the system once already - and that's how the law works.rmz wrote:I agree, I mean people make mistakes, but this guy killed someone. No offense but i dont need you to tell me how the law works. just because he went through the system doesnt mean i gotta respect the man or agree with his sentence. many child sex offenders get away with barley any jail time. but but going by your philosophy they went through the system so we should all just leave them alone and give them another chance because thats how the legal system works. im of a different opinion. you might get out but i aint gonna give you any respect. its not like he was in a 1 on 1 fight and accidently killed someone. i would give him much more of a break then. he was jumping some kid which is usually an act of cowardice.

Wow, very sound logic. My pt was u weren't there, were u?? So, a jury actually listened to testimony and said he didn't do what you said he did - kill someone. He was NOT convicted of murder. That is my pt. "its not like he. . . .accidently" - how do you know what his intent was. My only pt is that you are making a ton of assumptions that you shouldn't. I'm not going to argue the pt because someone was killed and I don't even want to seem like I'm trivializing that - but this is a boxing forum and I just think you were making some comments that were unwarranted. That's it. I'm done.
Re: Kurtiss Colvin: newest member to the USA boxing team
i said he was a chump. thats my opinion. im not assuming anything. i never said what his intent was and didnt even say he should still be in prison. i agree its a boxing forum so im done with this topic.
