Absolutely gutted. The only current show on TV I watched religiously.

A great double act too.

Best sports fan's show since fantasy Football League.

Buncey where are you???

I guess he's No Longer a Setanta Employee so can talk more freely on these boards.

Just wondering, i know there's no money in it but just thinking maybe you could do a very cut price version of the BUNCEY BOXING HOUR on:

www.Justin.tv

as it'd be great to keep its Spirit going. Infact it'd be cool if you had your own BOXING SHOW on there as People could interact with you on the boards in a Q n A about Current Boxing Issues.

Anyway worth a try :)

Bunce's show is too good to be left off the telly. Sky should definitely take it on. Did it get good figures?

I for one have never been a nut hugger but credit to Steve Bunce for what he did with the boxing hour and his fighting for us fans. I always enjoyed Setanta's coverage and for me it will be missed. I love the the interactive shows through the night and enjoyed everything from ABAs to big American fights and even the german stuff. I hope to see another channel pick up the Boxing hour and although Buncey isnt to everyones taste the UK TV's boxing world will be a lot quiter without him blessing our screens. Lastly good luck to Andy Kerr and all those working at Setanta as it must be a tough time and at least the boxing went out in style with the Cotto fight.

1st post and a sad one. Bad news, for boxing fans and UFC fans I love both, and the boxing hour was my kickstart to the weekend with a few cheeky beers and sky+. Bunce hopefully will get on another channel, I grew to like the bigman and the amount of fighters past and present and personalities that he got on there created the best boxing show to date.

Goodbye and thanks Settanta and co

That's what happens to poorly run companies. I’m sorry it’s gone. But every time you rang up or contacted them. You were left with the impression it was run by a bunch of cowboys.

the biggest tribute i can pay to the bunce boxing hour is that it became a part of the boxing week nearly as much as the fights themselves. for any boxing fan it was must see tv and thursdays will not be the same without it. it was compulsive viewing from beginning to end every week. it will be sorely missed.

special thanks to steve , andy and everyone behind the scenes at setanta for the coverage and fun (and it was most definetely fun) over the last couple of years.

nearly all of the fights of the year so far (marquez - diaz , margarito - mosley , quigley - dodson and cotto - clottey) were covered on setanta. lets just hope we dont miss out on these type of quality fights in the future because setanta are gone.

Whether is got good figures or not in comparison to other programmes, the show was/is highly appreciated by us Boxing fans & that should be what counts, but it doesn't! Its a Boxing show, which means its a sport's show, which means it can only be a good thing!

Why can't the show be taken on by a terristrial channel like the BBC? With the ridiculous amounts some of the stars are paid who are to do with the channel, I'm sure taking on the show would not make a huge dent in the financial department!

Buncey's show is too good to lose, but if its to return no more, I am sad to see it end so swiftly, although with Setanta's current situation, its not a surprise!

Buncey, how about trying to appeal to other TV channels?

Ultimately it was setanta's undoing, but a channel that was
prepared to listen to the fans demands to pay extra money
to air fights... ie; marquez / Diaz, show's that boxing still has
the fan base given the chance, setanta allowed us that chance,
so i'd like to say special thank's to buncey, even though we will still disagree
about the peterson bros, and also to andy kerr, who was getting better with
every show and also the guardian angel who helped get us the fights.
Best of luck to you all in the future and keep on punching.

The reason I asked about the figures is that it will have an influence on whether or not someone else takes it on.
