Could Buncey do his show on you tube ?

It would certainly get a regular following and it would be a way of keeping things going utill one of the other channels show's an interest. Buncey could make it very in-formal and have say one guest on per week, do the show for half an hour and have another guy there to bounce off, maybe Andy Kerr. He could do 15 mins for the interview and another 15 mins on what's been happenning in the world of boxing. It would be a lot more low key, but as other sites have proved, once there is an audience, a cult following, then viewing figures can be quite high. It's only the same idea that rock bands use in order to get signed up and people like the Arctic Monleys and Katie Perry have been discovered this way and offered recording deals on the back of the amount of people tuning in on a regular basis. A good format would be like the "fantasy soccer" with David Badiel and Frank Skinner, but a scaled down version.

What do you think ? Could it work in the short to mediu term ?

Im just thinking that Bunce could do it whilst there is no contract to other companies on the table. It would guarantee an audience and keep things in the public domain. It would'nt cost anything to put up an informal chat on boxing, that lasts 30 mins. Buncey will have other finance revenues that pay the bills and this is something that won't take long to do and he could put it out weekly or even monthly. It keeps things alive and that is what is needed at the minute.......

Fair enough. Makes sense to do that if there is nothing else in the pipeline! If it gets a good following it might influence future TV deals. And I'm sure plenty of people on here would want to keep in touch with what Buncey has to say!

Good idea in theory but wouldn't make financial sense.

It's impossible to make money on youtube and they would need to cover the cost of studio hire, production and equipment costs etc.

With cameras, VT inserts, lighting, sound balancing etc plus someone to run Andy Kerr's autocue, you'd need a staff of at least six people and with no money to cover it that's just not realistic.

The only way it could be done is with one camera in a room like those boxing4real blokes but lets face it, that's pretty naff.

That is the big draw back, professional integrity and as you say anything other than a studio setting would come across as a bit amateurish.
