Is it better to sit at the back of the lower tier, or the front of the upper tier? I've won £80 in ticketmaster vouchers, and I'm considering combining a trip to see my mate in Lancaster with the Ricky Hatton bill. Given the quality of opposition, I'll be fucked if I'm spending any of my own money on it, but £80 gets 2 tickets for either of the positions above. Anyone been and have any advice?

I don't think it makes that much difference. The cheaper option will suit, I would have thought.

Anytime I attend shows i tend to go for the cheaper higher seats. Ive sat ringside before and often find that the view can be somewhat restricted with ropes, turnbuckles, referees, cameramen etc etc.

sitting a bit further away usually ensures, in my opinion, a better view looking a bit down on the action

Well, they're both £40, and they're both a way back. I just wondered if anyone had any experience of if your view was more restricted at the lower level, or if it's easier to get to the bars at either level (probably the biggest consideration, given what the headline fight is).

Ringside seats are great. A completely different feel to sitting further back or watching on TV, which can feel like almost like a sanitised version of boxing. The missus used to work for one of the local rags, so we've had a good run of sitting in the press row at local fights for the last few years. Nothing better than swaning past the people that paid top whack for ringside, sitting in front of them and knowing you paid nowt.

In an act of outright selfishness, she's now gone and set up her own business, and one is going to have to pay to sit amongst the commoners in September...

Save the vouchers for something worthwile.

Just watch a video of Hatton against Rios, invite around any Mancunian friends you may have and get them well pissed up and you can pretend you're at the MEN watching Hatton v Stewart.

Get there early - while I'm not too keen on the main event, the undercard is quality. Exciting 50:50 matches throughout - if what Sky are advertising holds true.

I like that one , and its just about spot on.

Mancuians , the dumbest and least knoledgable boxing fans in the world., and i'm a Mancunian so i'm in a position to know.

Thats if they go ahead, this year has been one cancellation after another.

Given its a Hatton fight and against a non opponent in Stewart, youd be better saving your vouchers and going to the MEN for this. its an early chane to grab a sneak preview of his next opponent...
