Open up a separate tab and go to this site:

Paste the URL of the youtube video there and follow the instructions.
You will get an option for high quality download, which downloads and converts the video to i-pod format.
Quick and easy, doesnt always work, though.
Alternatively, download Quivic, you should be able to find a free download site, there's plenty out there.
Quivic will download and convert youtube clips to ipod quickly and easily too, but again not always successful.
I find the best and only surefire way to get youtube videos onto ipod is to use quivic to download the clip, then use Videora Ipod Converter to convert the file (also abundant free downloads). This takes slightly longer, but never fails.
