Can someone clarify?

Post by stujones »

Been reading the usually reliable boxing schedule on maxboxing, it says that Johnny Nelson's penultamate defence of his world title is on next Saturday in Germany. Is this accurate? It seems like Sky are not going to show it (not even on a delayed basis). Absolutely crazy.

Not that I'm overly looking forward to it, but its still two decent operators fighting.

Also, I remember reading on here somewhere that Thompson vs Haye is clashing with Alexander vs Takaloo. According to the schedule, the Alexander fight is on the day before.

Its not looking good that we are going to get the Don King big bill next week. Meehan vs Brewster would be an intriguing contest to watch, given the fact that we have a heavyweight in the mix now.

Nelson is fighting May next Saturday and it looks like Sky are going to show it.

Haye/Thompson & Alexander/Takaloo are on the same night but I'm pretty sure Haye is contracted to BBC...? Obviouslt the other will be on sky.

There are no listings for Meehan/Brewster..unless I've missed it..!

What is the word for Thompson-Haye? Is that going to be shown on delayed coverage on the BBC or what?

Does anyone know if we are getting the Hopkins - De La Hoya fight in the UK?

It would be a shame to miss that, even though it really could be a pretty quick fight.

I guess it will be shown on the Sunday at least.

Haye V's Thompson I think is next day delayed on Grandstand which
is a bit of a shame for the maybe the fight of the year.
