He is trying to get somebody half decent to fight him. He could fight either of these blokes in New Zealand or Australia and not have to go to North America or Europe.

I'm not convinced either Tua or Cameron would be up for this fight at this point.
Cameron doesn't seem to have the skillset to beat Kali, and I don't know that he'll develop it any time soon either.
Tua would want other fights before Kali - he can go to the ring below his best against Cameron because Cameron wont be hard to hit, but Kali has the skills and experience to make the height/reach advantages do a lot of the work for him against Tua. Tua would need to be in something approaching his best possible current form to be confident going in I'd say.

Just on a side note, the Australian Rugby Union are looking at trying to secure the signnatures of a few Kiwi U20's from the World Cup winning side. Namely Aaron Cruden the 1st 5 with HUGE potential. Just another example of the Aussies backing there home growen talent............clearly they have faith in the young guys comming through there system that they have to try lure away kiwi boys!

Kali Meehan was not born in New Zealand. He was born in Fiji, a much warmer place. He is an Australian citizen by choice.

We should be trying to pouch your women rugby players. As we all know that the NZ womens team are the most successful rugby team in NZ in recent years. Good to know that atleast the girls can bring back the world cup for NZ hey. Pity about the boys, sorry i mean "Men"

Kalivath has always shown good potential ever since he started out in NZ with some impressive boxing. Now residing in AUS he is in the best form of his life. It'd be good to see him beat Hoppa and claim the Aussie heavyweight title then look to fight Cameron if sucessful then fight Tua. He shouldnt have gone over to the states too early without fighting the top of the kiwi boys in Cameron and Tua, these 2 would be the best tests before taking on the worlds best. I honestly think he lacks toughness to be a world champ his losses came by way of knockout or tko thats fact and Tua who has gone further then anyone from both NZ and AUS has not been defeated by way of KO and he thought guys that are KO kings, hell he went 12 rounds with the heavyweight champ of the WORLD Cameron, Leapai and Meehan may never make it that far. Back to my point about toughness, Tua just snuck in on some decisions that some would feel he should have lost he also KO'd guys (like Rahman who KO'd Meehan) late in a fight that he was losing and he was able to this cos he was durable in the jaw, hard in the body and just tough. Yes Meehan is an exciting prospect, given the right trainning he can go far but I dont think he'd ever be a number 1 contender for a world title. Oh.., who cares whom he represents hes a Fijian who boxed in NZ and AUS

Agreed about the ranking, could you imagine if Tua beat Meehan then went and fought Valuev - what a freak show that'd be.
Tua has (or did have, guess we'll know after Cameron) the tools to beat Kali IMO I'm just worried that if he's not in great shape he wouldn't be able to execute and unload on him.
So if they fought right now - Kali UD.
If they fight after Tua has 3 fights or so, who knows?

Makes sense, but I dont think Cameron's going to be enough of a warm up for Kali really.
Given that Cameron isn't a pure boxer, who doesn't seem comfortable working off the jab, and advatages for power, chin and experience all going Tua's way, I dont see this being long night for the Tuaman. Also Tua has had a habit of only doing what was needed to win in the past, assuming Cameron isn't going to try and run (or if he does he wont be all that effective) I'm a little worried that Tua could show up in less than stellar shape.
When he gets ready to fight a guy like Kali he'll have to do a lot more work to get inside to land his shots, and he'll need to be prepared to go 12 rounds.
Agreed Kali deals with Cameron fairly easily.
Tua vs. Arreola would be a good fight to watch (I dont rate Arreola yet, he eats too much leather for my liking) but I wouldn't want to see Tua in there with Wlad. Has Lewis - Tua written all over it.

Australia have won 2 world cups and runnerup in 1, to NZ 1 win all the way back in 1987, why question what the Australian recruiters are doing, you Kiwis should be asking what you guys need to do to perform at the highest level in Rugby, this isn't a smart ass comment, this is reality, NZ are considered the best team in the world for 3 out of every 4 year cycle.

Mate you not going to be 1 of those Kiwis that come to Australia and tell everyone you meet that NZ is a better country than Australia every chance you get.

But its valid fact that the ARU juniors system is rubbish I know people who work with them and they even say it is!! They wouldnt be bringing in Ex-League players left right and centre if they developed quality younger players ot fill the gaps!

Mate to many teams in all codes spend cash on the current crop leaving the younger guys comming through struggling..........I was always told Foster your youth and you'll always have a strong senior team! Seems alot of teams these days dont care enough about the youth comming throguh and just figure they'll buy all there players!
