ESPN have just set up a UK website. There is only 'register of interest info on at the moment, but once there are more contact details on there lets ramp it up again

tuned into setanta/freeview 34 this morning and it was ESPN - a load of fat people having a hot dog eating contest. wtf ?

Interesting update on the related battle for the UFC contract. I’m not sure if ESPN winning would make it more or less likely to bid for boxing contracts.

will be pissed off if sky get the ufc and start charging us £15 to watch it but i dont want bravo to get it either because it wouldnt be on live hopefully channel 5 or espn will get the rights

Channel 5 are not coming in for boxing at this stage - and at the moment ESPN are showing a lot of reluctance to commit to anyone after having a couple of promoters speak to them.

ESPN can pick and choose. Warren, Hobson and Hennessy look like they are all after a deal, that is an awful lot of good boxers.
