I don't know if anyone watched Channel 5's boxing last night, but I have just watched it back and I have to say the main event between Willie Gibbs and Daniel Edourado was one of the best fights I have seen in a while.
It swayed one way to the other for 4 pulsating rounds, first Gibbs hurt Edourado, then Edourado seriously hurt Gibbs in the second. In the third both had their moments, likewise in the 4th before Edourado's extra punch resistance game through and he got the TKO at the end of the round.
It was a fantastic war and I recommend those that didn't tape it, to track it down. Eduoardo collapsed at the end of the contest through exhaustion, I believe both are okay now.
I thought Pacquiao vs Marquez was a cert for fight of the year, but this one (which took place at the same venue as Ward vs Gatti 1) may have even surpassed it.
theres been some cracking fights on this show lately. its just a shame that channel 5, are now probably the countrys top terrestrial boxing channel, but they show these fights at 2am.
might not do hennessey any harm to ahave a wee word with them.
