Yeah- I spied that now! It's just a couple of bookies doing it- more might follow, of course.

But 1/14 on Kell?

Is Lomax really that un-fancied?

Kel is bang on the money in terms of fitness and application, which sadly bodes badly for your man.
I will be shocked if Brook is extended beyond 5 rounds in this contest.
Your sources dont seem too reliable mate.
Plus, Brook is promoted by Fwank. :TU:

Whats your point ??

If you are impling Brook will need a "home" decision - we will see!!!

Something tells me the ref will not get involved a lot other than waving the fight off!!!

We will see!!!

I don't think that anyone is saying that he will NEED a home decision, but in some ways this always works in the boxers favour.

It only takes about 75 minutes to Manchester from Sheffield.

You can bang on all you want about how brook is a sensational fighter. If he stops lomax early I will be the first one on here to say I was wrong. I just think there is a lot of hype about brook and he has not really fought anybody yet. I just think with lomax's chin he may be on for a long night.

What a ridiculous comment. No one would fight him at welterweight so he dropped down to light welter and took a fight with craig Watson at two weeks notice and was totally drained at the weight.

He would never fight at light welter again.

Fact!!
As in Nigel Wright is only a light welter............FACT

And you think Lomax is that somebody do you?

It can be argued early in Lomax's career there was a lot of hype and he has merely flattered to decieve and hasn't really come up with the goods.

With regards to Brook - at domestic level he is demolishing his opponents - I personally think Brook is the best prospect we have in this country - and I will concede something to you - we will not know how good with regards to "world" level he is until he steps up in class - Michael Lomax is not for me a step up in class for Kel Brook who I will repeat for me is the best prospect we have in this country.

The mutterings/rumours I heard about Kel was the questions of whether he "lived the life" those concerns have been dispelled and for me the trainer I respect more highly than any other - Brendan Ingle - I was sat in an airport with Brendan waiting for a flight to Jersey - we had a great chat for about an hour where we felt we were putting the boxing world to rights and the subject of Kel Brook came up - Brendans words were the lad can do what he wants if he puts his mind to it - he needs to concentrate on what goes on in the ring and let his hands do the talking - Kel Brook is doing exactly that.

I am convinced Kel Brook is going places - I really do not hold any other boxer in this country in higher regard - that is how much I rate him.

If Brook stops Lomax I'll be impressed. This looks like it could be a tough test for Brook.

I must be in the minority and think this is a poor match-up.

I'd much rather see Matt Hatton, Watson O'Donnell in there.

I agree - whilst I do think Brook is highly talented there are still some worthwhile reasonably tough domestic clashes out there for him - I just dont see Lomax being one of them.

just wondering why jennings wasnt considered.he said recently on steve bunce's boxing hour that he'd happily fight brook.
with them both being sports network fighters it would have been an easy match up,maybe brook doesnt fancy it yet.

Brook should stop Lomax within 8 rounds but I godd little test at this stage. Brook should be looking at the European title sooner rather that later though.

With the fight just over a fortnight away, why haven't we heard anything from Lomax?

Usually you get a few quotes, at least in local papers, talking up the challenge, etc. Well, he was quoted a week ago on W arren's website, I suppose...

Hope the fight happens.

Really don't want to see an eight-rounder for Brook against an 'international' opponent.

This concerns me too - I hope if there is a pull out - Mr W arren has some balls and gets a tough opponent for Kel who I do not think will mind one bit if that were to happen.

I think this will probably go ahead- 50-50, anyway. Wurren's website DID address rumours that Kotelnik had pulled out.

Anyway, we can but cross our fingers!

Kell could do with the fight, too, of course.
