I think it's good that Sutherland was being properly tested even if that wasn't the intention. He had to adjust when he realised he wasn't tougher or stronger but was a better boxer. Just because he struggled at this level doesn't mean he won't go far. Novices are supposed to improve, tough fights should make him better.
I see an early tough but successful test for a high profile new pro something to be upbeat about.
However Sutherland was boxing an unknown with absolutely no pedigree whatsoever and got marked up in the process - I think Sutherland will be good - but the handspeed etc etc will be better suited at Light Heavy - I am certainly not writing him off - no way clearly he is going to be a talent - but I just feel he will be better suited going up a weight.
My thoughts concerning Sutherland going up a weigh mainly surround his speed - both his punch and footwork look slow - just an opinion thats all!!
