David Tua V Shane 'Mountain Goat' in Auckland NZ

Post by Rogue »

From a Tua media outing we attended...it was a bit funny and helps the build up. Totally surprised by Tua-man, it's quite media savvy from him.....

Tua vs Cameron

I think if it goes the distance, Cameron should edge out Tua on points. If it ends in a KO it'll be Tua that does the knocking out. Cameron would prefer a KO ofcourse to boost his world rankings but I dont think he'll get one. He can punch believe me but I think Tua's been through just as hard and harder punchers than Shane besides Tua's has a vey durable jaw. He needs to stay of the ropes, go to the body a lot, move around keep Tua searching, pick his exchanges well and keep punches minimal but hard staying nice and tight and to keep or take away David's left hook and overhand right. Sort of a taller guys fight plan which is not really Camerons style. Cameron is more of the boxer of the two if it comes down to points and Shane losses and was clearly outboxed, I dont think any major promoter would look at him.

Tua I'm sure would unleash hell at any early oppertunity he gets to end the fight early. He is going to want to win well to send a message that he's back. David has had a lengthy absence since his last fight so I'd say he'll definately want an early KO, although I feel going 12 rounds would be good for him. Tuaman should look to bob and weave more when in range, look to fire some straight combinations to Shanes eye's and keep busy following Shane around the ring. I think David would definately look to open a up a cut because it's no secret that Cameron cuts easily. Shane has a likes to stand and trade working of the jab I feel that will favour Tua and he'll exchange with heavier blows. Tua has one last shot at a world championship, America is still watching him and boxing needs a Frazier/Tyson type fighter at this time, but he needs to improve with his speed and boxing if he is going to get back to no.1 contender and to win the heavyweight championship.
