HMM -- I was aware of the different names -- but I wasn't aware that all he had that many defenses??

Is that number right?

The WBF webpage says he had 39 defenses; yet at last count he had 38???

2001-10-26
SAMSON SCORES 37TH DEFENSE OF HIS WBF 115-POUND TITLE
Unbeaten Thailander Samson Kratindaeng-Gym scored his 37th defense of the WBF super-flyweight belt as he decisioned Filipino Orly Padillo over 12 rounds at Sonkra Province, Thailand, on October 26.

FROM WBF --

Samson "Toyota Gym" "Dutch Boy" Gym, etc., the best jr. bantamweight in the history of the division retires after his last fight this month in Thailand. The superstar won the title several years ago in his ninth bout and looks to retire undefeated at 43-0, after 39 successful WBF defences! We wish him well. Samson is now enshrined in our "fighters pages", which lists full bios and records of current WBF superstar champions and legends.
