Australian Contender fighters

Post by Marlin »

Who do we think (or know) will be in the show?

We know there will be 14 contestants.

From arcticles I've read and from what Anton said it seems the following fighters will be included:

Nader Hamdan
Les Piper
Victor Oganov
Luke Moloney
Shannan Taylor
Junior Talipeau
Sonni Michael Angelo
Pradeep Singh
Ben McCulloch

It also seems that Jamie Pittman and Porky Lovett will NOT be part of the show...

Considering the above, if it is in fact correct, who else would do we think will be in the show and who would we like to see in the show?

I'm guessing it will be contested at super middleweight.

To be honest I was struggling to put 14 together though... I reckon Joel Burke might even get a run...

Oceania Contenders would be better and help increase the pool of fighters

im gathering this is going to be at Super-Middleweight with the current fighters listed so instead of struggling to put together a decent list if Aussie guys why not make it Oceania and include the following

New Zealand

Daniel McKinnon
Maselino Masoe (maybe a little old?)
Kariz Kariuki
Adrian Tahia

Samoa

Togasilimai Letoa

Fiji

Zulfikar Joy Ali
Roshan Ali Junior

Vanuatu

Iau Kamisak
Kali Jacobus

Would always make things a little more interesting!

I thought Tongia would be a good show.

There is a fair range of weights listed so far...

There's some decent fighters, but noone that will beat Mundine there.

However, it's a great concept for the sport of boxing.

Will it be the same format as the american series, 5 rounds of boxing?

Oganov is a strong fighter but starts slow, how do you guys think he will go?

Against the current line up he should do very, very well. His power can still be felt early...

Agreed, the second round is normally 8 rounds, with the final being 10 rounds.

Very interested in seeing Taliepai fight as well.

Well he's dug deep in his last 2 fights, he was behind against Hartman.

I think he's been struggling to make Middle as well, so it looks like Supermiddle is the more likely.

What do you think the odds of this Bloke ending up in the show Michael Bolling, given that his last fight is on the 31st, should he win both before that would be a clean record.
