Well, with mine there was a cord (called and AV cord I think) with three plugs on it (red, yellow and white I think) the set top box and TV clearly had plugs with the matching colours... I just hooked them up and I was away.AntonS wrote:Care to eleborate?? Which cords from where to where.Marlin wrote:Step one - Plug appropriate cords into set top box / DVD

There will also be a power cord that you will need to plug into the set top box and wall socket

The arial goes into the set top box...
If the TV has more than one AV input you do it the same way and e.g. the set top box will be AV1 and the DVD player will be AV2...
Depending on the set top box you might be able to run the DVD player through that but I'm not sure...

I'll pass it on. If he blows up the house we'll put it down to bad luck

What marlin said.
Each of your bits need to be connected to the TV, not to each other - well that's how mine's setup anyway.
HD box cables go into the AV1 sockets of the TV
DVD cables go into the AV2 sockets of the TV
TV aerial goes into your HD box though, not your TV or DVD or whatever else.
etc.
