I think he'll have a few scares against McDermott but will come through in the end!! Maybe a 6 to 7 round stoppage..Danny Williams motivated will be a super test I think!!

Pricey on his day is just too much for any heavyweight in this country!! Power, speed, athletisisim, balance and top stamina!! :TU:

Like I said though, Fury is improving even though his mouth sends me nuts!! All I ever hear him say is NO ONE will fight me and everyone is scared of me!! :D :shame: :D

instead of all this negative name calling why dont you all go about this in a pro manner you are all from the northwest and im sure everyone would benifit from helping one another progress im sure tyson would help david price out with sparring its perfect for both of them and tony bellew could spar with tyson tonys speed would help both david and tyson and im sure that they would both go light as he is so much smaller come on lets be men about it and stop calling names like kids and help oneanother go forward ........iv spoken to tyson and he agrees with me in fact he said any day next week he would be prepaired to go to anthony farnells gym and sparr with both david and tony so if you s are willing it would help all like i say be men about it all will benifit from this let me know what day and time would be best if you both are willing to help one another .cheers. a north west boxing fan.

at least fury wants to have his go. most prospects are happy to fight bums but fury calls out the other heavys who seem to have hearing problems when he does so.

A fighter like that, (Froch, Haye, Witter etc), will ALWAYS have my support.

For a big lad Tyson has a very good left hook to the body and I'm sure McDermott isn't very partial to a shot to the midriff ergo Tyson stops him early with a well-placed rib-cruncher IMO.

Maloney promotes John McDermott and he won the purse bids earlier this week.

I will be pleasantly surprised if the fight takes place on a Maloney Bill.

Yes yes I know he has won the purse bid - I just think Meaty Mick wants one of his flagship fighters on his own shows.

It will make a good change if Meaty Mick eats humble pie and allows his fighters to fight on another promoters show.

Has to be a stoppage victory for Tyson. Not sure how quickly he'll do it, though.

This will be a good yardstick of how good Fury could become.

With the demise of certain TV coverage, and new entrants to the Promoting scene things are a little confused at the moment.
On the one hand you have Meaty Mick paying a fortune for Macklin v Barker, but on the other hand missing out on Fury v McDermott.
By winning the bid for Barker, Meaty Mick has put one over Ricky, who no doubt bid high, because he's a lot of dates to fill - and not enough fighters to achieve it.
I agree with Spud.
Meaty will pull Fury nearer the date.
I am told 17-10-09 is the final ITV date for Meaty Mick, and the Barker fight is set for then in Nottingham.
I expect to see Froch topping the bill.
Sorry if this has gone a little off topic, but basically what I'm saying is a successful purse bid is one thing, a fight taking place is another ......
