Froch is shaping up to be a real legend who is putting other recent and current champions to shame. As said above - he doesn't insult his fans with timewasting fights.

I seriously respect Froch's approach to the fight game and what he's doing, but I think he's gonna come a cropper in this tourney. I think both Abraham and Kessler have a good chance of KOing him unless he significantly improves his defense.

Good times/fights ahead though

Gotta love Carl - he's a breath of fresh air. I'm sure he wants to make money, but he also seems to fight for pride.

He may end up losing his title with the risks he takes, but I admire his willingness to take those risks.

When he looks back at his career, he may have some regrets, but one of them won't be that he failed to face the biggest challenges out there.

In beating Taylor, I think Froch has already almost equalled the best win on Calzaghe's record (Kessler) and he could well overtake (in my mind) Calzaghe's achievements if he has 3-4 more big wins.

If Carl never throws a punch again he'll go down as a legend (IMO, as will Haye) for his attitude to the game and his willingness to test himself against the best........ rather than having his career directed by the dreaded risk:reward ratio model which is a boxing fans nightmare, as is the cash:common sense model which has been recently highlighted by Buncey.

What happened to boxers wanting to be the best in the division, rather than the ricjest in the division

I think there's a difference though, in being willing to fight the best and being willing to fight the best and actually win, a simple example for instance, Gary Lockett was willing to test himself against the best (Pavlik) but he's no legend is he?

If this tourney comes off and Carl wins even 2 of his fights, then maybe, but if he loses most of them he's no legend, just a very good contender with a lot of balls and a great attitude.

Until Carl does this, he his a good champ, and possible legend IMO.
