I don't know the exact numbers, but there were very few entries and the finals are on Saturday instead of Sunday.

That's part of the problem. Terrell Harrison was advised to not have his tournament at this time. I also think that many boxers, coaches and officials do not have the monies, or interest, to travel to So. Cal for a non-ranking tournament. The entries for the 2008 National PAL in Oxnard were down due to the expenses.
