Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Bit of a limited undercard, too- not exactly something I'd pay 30-odd quid to watch. But then they are all like that nowadays.

I've had my crystal balls out and I'm afraid to tell you there is a 97% chance it does ;;-)WildWaylon wrote:Just hope it doesnt turn into a srappy mess.

thats a shocking tattoo around Haskins neck
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Burkinshaw looks completely out of his depth in the 1st. Hopefully he finds his composure & a plan and makes a fight of it.
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
30-27 to Haskins after 3. Burkinshaw at least started to throw something in the third. That was bizarre in the 1st two, just walking in with his hands up and leaning right into Haskins range.
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
That was a terrible fight and the Super Flyweight title has to go.
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
I can't get over the fact that Burkinshaw is in his 10th fight and still hasn't worked out that you need to move your head. Very disappointing.

Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Haskins looked very good Burkinshaw just didnt have a clue what to do good stoppage imo nothing was coming back very good performance by Haskins though. Burkinshaw looked poor
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
I'd like to look on the positive and say Haskins looked sharper than recent fights but that's being generous when the opponent isn't moving except to move directly into punching range.
Well that's our top of the bill entertainment from Friday Night Fights for another week. Utter cack.

They would be better off coming into my local and picking two blokes to go out into the carpark and showing that live.
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Awful spectacle.
Just more 'flat track bully' stuff from Haskins.
You have to be exceptional to make that Naz style work for you. And, for me, he simply isn't.
I am slightly frustrated by him because I feel there is something in there.
I have only seen him on Sky, never live, just think his style is limiting him

McCrory on Burkinshaw "I can see what he was trying to do". Well I'd love him to explain because I'm damned if I could see what he was trying to do.

Broadhurst vs Haskins who you got for that im not sure that would be a cracker.

Haskins vs Broadhurst is the only worthwhile domestic fight at Super Flyweight. I hope it is made soon.

I'd like to see Napa back at this weight,
Surprised so many tipped Burkinshaw.

Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
It's the obvious fight. Not one that's sending me into joyous convulsions but decent I guess. You've got to like Broadhurst if he keeps moving. Haskins look good tonight against a immobile opponent. I think his style would struggle to land against Broadhurst's movement.

Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Seems crazy that shows of this "quality" are going out at the moment- if anything, with tougher times, I'd expect promotors to try HARDER and put on more attractive cards in order to get people watching, and through the doors.
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Are there any other fights of any worth on this card?
Re: Haskins/Burkinshaw - July 10th
Agree, this is desperate stuff. Hard to rate the guy Jeffries fought but he didn't look much defensively. The guy Crewe fought was 1-10 going in....quite how that makes Crewe's "destructive" performance the kind of fight that should be getting televised is beyond me. They might as well pick some punter out from the crowd as an opponent.
Maybe now with Setanta gone, Sky realise that they can get away with dropping things even lower if possible and dozy, naive sods like myslef will still tune in in the vague hope of some good matchups.......what a fool I am :(
