Re: haskins wins
think the occasion was too much for burkinshaw but a slightly early stoppage , especially with the title on the line

Haskins looked impressive but Burkinshaw looked out of his depth he didnt have a clue how to deal with him good win and an easy night for Haskins good stoppage imo nothing was coming back

Re: haskins wins
What was Burkinshaw doing in there? Why on earth did his team even think he had a chance. Frank Bruno has more movement

Round 4, Jaffa get looked Good V.Strong, 1st round...
I dont know Haskins but from what iv seen of him on TV i Hate and would Love to fight him, way way way to Flash, for how good he is.
Anyone can look good on a Bag, thats what last night was like coz there was No punches coming back at him..
Thought Don Broadhurst spoke well from Ringside last night...
Re: haskins wins

Agree Broadhurst spoke very well and seemed confident. He said he wasn't at all impressed as Haskins big swings were going right over his headLondonirish wrote:Tommy Gunn13 wrote:What round did it end in???

Jaffa did well, he said after he was a bit worked up in their following his opponents jibes in the build up.
Re: haskins wins
Difficult to judge Haskins on that because Burkinshaw just let him do what he wanted. Stoppage wasn't early, what was the point of seeing any more of that. Just because it's a title fight is no reason for someone to be carried out on a stretcher.
Re: haskins wins
That's the best I've seen Haskins fight, but Ross was a sitting duck for alot of the fight. The stoppage was justified IMO
Re: haskins wins
That lad, Ross Burkinshaw seemed waaay too gentle to be in this game.
From his interview, to his performance which does not need dwelling on. I didn't think he was any older than 18 tops.
I get the impression that he really enjoys boxing and perhaps looks decent enough in the gym, but out there on the big stage he seemed like a baby gazzelle sipping from the crocodile pond.
His team seemed very close to him and i imagine they were very concerned when he was stood taking them looping shots around the gloves.
On the other hand, the fight did not tell us much about Haskins and i agree that a Broadhurst fight should be an interesting mix of styles.
