Mundine has been order to rematch Geale

Post by toppity »

Even thought he lost his appeal, Geale has got his wish.

The alledgedly magnificent, the self proclaimed most important sanctioning body........... the IBO have demanded that Mundine fight Geale or relinquish his much coveted IBO middlewieght title of the world.....baby.

I'd like to see these two go around again. Mainly to see if Geale, and is overly confident trainer (the man who stated Geale could adapt to anything on the night), can modify their game plan to be more effective against Mundine. Conversely, what will Mundine come up with this time to put Geale off his game.

Bring it on.

this is the same governing body that ordered a rematch between dib and the african
dib managed to secure a title shot not sure of what happened to the african but if they want a rematch or if something is controversial they should rule a no contest.
is this a case of a governing body trying to make money as they know they will never have two top class fighters fighting for a weak belt like this in the near future.
i would like to see geale and mundine fight again but not straight away, i feel they both can win legitimate titles and then they can face off.
mundine should forget about green, geale is definitely his greatest aussie rival.

The IBO is gradually starting to implement the policies it once proudly rejected.

They talk about having no mandatories, then order a rematch and threaten to strip... what is that if not a mandatory?

Similarly Matthew Hatton v Ted Bami was recently an IBO eliminator. What is the purpose of an eliminator if there are no mandatories?

yeah agreed, if anyone has a slim chance of beating "The Man" he will not fight them.

This will be proven if he avoids Sturm, also the IBF title is now vacated since Arthur Abraham is going up to Super Middleweight for that tournament.

I was at the Fight, the only blemish was the amount of times the Ref stopped what was a good even fight to get anthony's tape fixed.Should have had points deducted for that and would have meant danny won.

i was watching Friday Night Fights on Fox and Daniel Geale was there, they asked him about the prospect of the rematch and he pretty much said his team are trying to put it together but seemed it wasnt going to happen and they are chasing other fighters outside Aus.

I dont see an issue for Danny to get good fights like Amin Asikainen, David Lopez, Sebastian Zbik, Khoren Gevor, Sebastian Sylvester & even a shot at Felix.
