Just got round to making my predictions for this week, and is it just me or is Devid Lookmahanak vs Anthony Mathias just a little obscure? I mean what's going on, they've had 5 fights between them, and we're supposed to pick a winner?

So just out of interest, who did everyone else pick? I went for Mathias, he's more experienced, has been matched against guys with better records, and has beaten the man who beat Mohammed Alli.

I think the idea is just to throw in a wildcard every now and again, as none of us really know a lot about these guys it's mostly guess work and lucky judgement so perhaps people can pick up some points with a bit of luck....that's my thinking anyway.

I predicted the thai to win in rounds 2-5 (cant remember what round). He has fighting experience from Thaiboxing and he has way better sparring in Sahaprom that the other guy ever will have. Many of the africans brought over to asian usually isnt that good, so a relative quick stoppage win for the thai is my guess.

I know as much about these "obscure" fighters than I do with fx the british WBF fight in this round. I have easier access to asian fights than UK fights

Sorry you guys, I tend to go for the 10 or 12 rounders, and didn't spot that they'd had only 5 fights between them!!

I'll be more careful in future

Trust me, the Thai will win.

Some of you don't know a thing about boxing if you find this hard to call.

Seriously though, I went for the Thai based on it being on home soil, I went for an the old "ini mini myni mo" to decide the verdict and according to "the king" (Don perhaps) it landed on a pts decision.

No worries mate, i was just being a little sarcastic. I actually like the idea of having fights from around the world. At the very least it encourages you to take a look at fighters who you'd maybe not even hear about otherwise.

Although Freiheit makes a good case, i'm going to resist temptation and stick with my original (and probably hopeless) prediction of a points win for the guy who isn't Thai.

Has to be the Thai homeboy in this one, in my humble opinion - I have all their fights on video, and have been studying them closely
